Bolton Lads & Girls take advantage of Postponements
Bolton Lads & Girls Club - Division 1
The autumn rains resulted in us playing just 12 of the 33 scheduled games today and Bolton Lads & Girls Club took full advantage by beating Preston Victoria 7-2 in the only division 1 game played. The Bolton outfit have 10 points from their first 4 games in their debut season in this division with rivals Tulketh United and Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs certain to make their presence felt. Their scorers today were Jay Ralphson (2), Keane Mills, Matt Cain, Karl Dumbarton, Jordan Fishwick and Corey Ogden.
Sir Tom Finny are another club to take full advantage of today’s postponements, they bet Fishwick Rangers 7-0 to take over top spot in division 3 from Waverley Park who didn’t ply today. Graham Lyons netted four with the other goals coming from Nick Heywood, Jack Errington and Michael Tracey.
The top game in the premier division was a very local affair between AFC Ingol and Ingol Rangers with the Rangers coming out on top 5-4 through goals from Jonty McDonald (2), Zac Wilkes, Lee Ashcroft and Ryan McKenna. Mitch Newsham (3) and Conor Linighan scored for AFC. Acregate Lane LC beat Ashton Villa 4-1 at Samlesbury with goals from Paul Turner (3) and Charles Egan, Ricardo Egidi replied for Villa. Hunters beat Springfields 6-0 at the Arena through hat ricks from Dee Edmonds and Adam Thomas.
Goals from Reece Goodchild and Henry Hindle earned Haslingden St Marys a 2-1 win against Burscough Dynamo in the first round of the Syndicate Trust Youth Cup, Colin Bousique-Green replied for Dynamo and Lostock St Gerards beat Leyland BTR 9-1 in their second round tie. The two games played in youth division white saw BAE Warton beat Broughton Amateurs 8-1 and Fleetwood Town Rangers drew 3-3 with Poulton. Three games in youth division 3 resulted in wins for Euxton Villa at home to Lancon, Springfields beat Lostock St Gerards Blues 6-0 and with Tarleton Corinthians pitch unfit the team agreed to reverse the fixture and play at Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs and they were rewarded with 4-2 victory.
