Only two games played today in the Open Age section and both ended in draws. Champions Hunters were held 2-2 at Acregate Lane LC with Dee Edmonds bagging both their goals to bring his tally for the season to an impressive 36. Acregate Lane find themselves in 4th spot thanks to goals from Paul Turner, his 43rd of the season and Ryan Broomhead.

Kingsfold entertained Waverley Park in glorious sunshine at Kingsfold and they had plenty of local support to cheer them on to a 3-3 draw. This was a most enjoyable game to watch between two sides who both went all out for the win. Mervyn Salter put Kingsfold ahead after just 12 minutes and Jordan Leadbetter doubled the lead ten minutes later only for Ryan Micklethwaite to pull one back for Waverly Before half time.

Luke Dean leveled the scores early in the second half then Leadbetter scored his second to make it 3-2 to Kingsfold before Stephen Phoenix completed the scoring with Waverley’s third and even the introduction of super sub Paul Hopkins wasn’t enough to secure a win for Waverley. Nevertheless, they will be please with runners up spot in division 3. Kingsfold rounded up their season with seven wins and four draws from their final eleven games to finish the season in a very creditable 4th place.

Padiham won 4-2 at Winstanley Warriors in youth division red with Kuda Chingwaro scoring twice to bring his tally to 31, Samuel Ashworth and Reon Haworth scored the others. Foxhall and BAE Warton drew 3-3 in youth division white, Charlie Allan, Connor Smith and Steven Hodgkinson scored for Foxhall, Noah Fluss Tramontano (2) and Jake Molloy replied for BAE.

The double header in youth division blue saw Southport & AA win 2-0 at Appley Bridge Reds and then draw the second game 1-1, Penwortham St Teresas won 4-1 at Lostock St Gerards Blues whilst Springfields beat Leyland BTR 5-1.
