Euxton Villa v Bolton County - Youth Division Red
More photos >>
Bolton County made the trip to Euxton to meet Euxton Villa in youth division red and they left with three points after a comprehensive 10-1 win.
Euxton Villa play football at Jim Fowler Memorial Ground, Euxton. The club was originally known as Euxton, playing in the West Lancashire League in 1907. The team led a nomadic existence playing in various locations in the village before finally buying three farmers’ fields in 1985. Since then the club merged with junior teams from the village and developed the current site. They currently have 24 teams in addition to the Boys and Girls development groups and they have strong links with Chorley Ladies who currently play their football at ‘Villa’.
Bolton County FC based at Radcliffe Road, Darcy Lever, Bolton have no less that 28 teams from under-6s right up to Open Age and their youth team are members of our Youth Division Red. Both Euxton Villa and Bolton County achieved FA Charter Standard status in 2002.
Bolton raced into the lead within two minutes of the kick off when Blaise Amani pounced to put them ahead and a defensive lapse on 11 minutes allowed Freddie Stevens to make it 2-0. Thomas Jackson added a third on 21 minutes before Amani scored his second to make the score 4-0. Matt Ragsdale pulled on back for Euxton Villa just before half time.
Freddie Stevens added his second for Bolton on 50 minutes followed by a cracker from Tshiessi Tshife. After that it was the Blaise Amani show with goals on 61, 75, 84 and 87 minutes on his way to a double hat trick. In spite of the score line, this was a pleasant game to watch with both teams giving their all for 90 minutes. Very few fouls or indiscipline and the game was well handled by referee Jon Elliott.
AFC Ingol head the premier division after beating Springfields 2-0 but they have Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs and Ribbleton breathing down their neck. Arkwrights lead division 1 after their 2-1 home win against AFC Longridge but the big game saw second placed Earnshaw Bridge draw 1-1 with third placed Walton. Division 2 leaders Sir Tom Finney beat Fishwick Rangers and Lostock Hall top division 3 following their 4-3 win at Tarleton White.
Fulwood Amateurs maintained their 100% record with a 3-1 win at Cherrybrook and head youth division red, Cadley beat Chipping 7-0 in youth division white to keep their 100% record and lead in youth division white and BAE Warton who top youth division blue also kept their 100% record after winning at Layton Cavs. Garstang in youth white and Fulwood Amateurs Blues in youth blue both have 100% record after today's victories.
