Anderton bags the points for Acregate Lane

Springfields & Tanterton (blue) & Ribbleton observe a minutes silence on Remembrance Sunday

A minutes silence was observed before all games in this league this morning whilst we remembered those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we could enjoy our football.

An 82nd minute strike by Jack Anderton secured the points for Acregate Lane in their game against AFC Ingol at the UCLan Sports Arena. These two well drilled and evenly matched sides produced an excellent game although there were few chances. Anderton had the ball in the net on 66 minutes only for it to be correctly ruled offside but he made amends with a cracking effort to put Acregate into third spot in the premier division.

Hunters & Ingol Rangers travelled to Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs for a must win game for both clubs and it was Hunters & Ingol who triumphed 5-1 with goals from James Dean 92), Reece Fishwick (2) and Bryon Andrew. Ribbleton produced a first class performance to beat Springfields & Tanterton 2-1 and Ashton on Ribble and Earnshaw Bridge settled for a 3-3 draw.

Fulwood Park Rangers 3-2 win at home to Walton Athletic keeps them in second spot to Sir Tom Finney in division 1, AFC Preston won 4-2 at Walton-le-Dale United and Wyresdale Rangers beat Whittle Wanderers 8-1. Waverley Park lead division 2 after their 4-1 win at Walton-le-Dale Wanderers, Jamie Yates (3) and Sam Reader with the goals, Penwortham Town beat Sporting Preston 2-0, Blackpool Town beat Ribbleton Wanderers 5-3 and Wilbraham North End won 2-0 at home to Park United. Midgery Court picked up their first points of the season beating St Annes 3-0, Tarleton Corinthians beat Moor Park Utd 6-1 whilst Rufford Park Rangers and Leyland BTR drew 1-1.

New Longton Rovers won 3-1 at AFC Darwen Red in youth division white and Bispham JFF won 4-1 at Wyre Villa. Winstanley Warriors won 2-1 at Euxton Villa in youth blue, Longsands won 3-2 away at Pennington and Poulton beat Chipping 6-3. Fleetwood Town beat Croston Sc 3-0 in youth red and Lytham also won 3-0 against Poulton Town Pumas. Youth division green saw wins for Clitheroe 4-0 at AFC Darwen, Garstang 2-1 at home to Charnock Richard and North Lancs DC and Lostock St Gerards drew 0-0.
