Ribbleton beat AFC Ingol in 9 goal Thriller

Ribbleton’s good form in the premier division continued with an excellent 5-4 win against AFC Ingol at UCLan Sports Arena. They took an early lead before falling behind 2-1 and then recovered to level the scores at 4-4 before grabbing the winner in the dying seconds of the game. Ciaran Campbell, Kayne Clayton, Karl Luisi (2) and Jamie Marvill scored for Ribbleton whilst Shane Mead, Mitch Newsham (2) and Dan Cooper got the AFC Ingol goals. Leaders Hunters & Ingol Rangers won 4-1 at Tanterton & Springfields and Bamber Bridge United are in second spot after beating Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs 2-1.
Goals from Barry Pryce, Joshua Sarda and Dion Holding enabled Lostock Hall to beat Penwortham Town 3-2 and see them through to the semi-finals of the Syndicate Trust Challenge Cup where they will face AFC Ingol on Easter Sunday. 12th April. Earnshaw Bridge are also through to the semis after their 3-2 win over Acregate Lane LC and they will meet Hunters & Ingol Rangers on 12th April. Both semis will be played at Fulwood Amateurs and both will kick off at 11.00am.
The three outstanding quarter-finals in the Syndicate Trust Presidents Cup were decided this morning. Warton beat Blackpool Town 4-1, Rufford Park Rangers beat Sporting Preston 2-1 and Waverley Park beat Whittle Wanderers 4-2. The line up for the semis is; Gregson Lane Wanderers v Warton at UCLan Sports Arena, Tuesday 17 March at 7.45pm and Rufford Park Rangers v Waverley Park at UCLan Sports Arena, Tuesday 24 March at 7.45pm.
The Syndicate Trust Youth Cup semi-finals will be played on adjacent pitches at UCLan Sports Arena nest Sunday 15th March at 11.00am …. Clitheroe v Thornton Cleveleys (pitch 1) and Winstanley Warriors v New Longton Rovers (pitch 2).

The Lancashire Sunday League encourages all referees to become members of the Referees Association and it is League policy to give priority of appointments to those referees who are an RA member.
Preston Referees Society is based at Preston North End Football Club, Sir Tom Finney Way, Preston, PR1 6RU, they meet on the first Monday of each month during the football season and everyone is welcome to attend their meetings. The meetings start at 7.30pm and usually finish around 9.00pm.

: The Society provides physical training for its members at UCLan Sports Arena Training every Monday evening between 6.30-7.30pm except on Society Monthly Meeting nights when it will be brought forward to 6.00-7.00pm.
