AFC Preston and Bamber Bridge Utd continued to stretch their legs at the top of the π£πΏπ²πΊπΆπ²πΏ ππΆππΆππΆπΌπ» after home wins over SRDC (Purples) and Lostock Hall respectively. AFC Preston sit on 25 points, Bamber Bridge just three back on 22 after both have played nine games. Acregate Lane recorded their second win of the season at Leyland Seven Stars.
Both the top two in ππΆππΆππΆπΌπ» π’π»π² earned three points, Astley & Buckshaw Utd at home to Sir Tom Finney and Lonsdale Casuals against Fishwick Rangers. Cain Blows notched a hat-trick for the Casuals. Wyresdale Rangers are just a point back on Lonsdale in third, they won 3-1 away at Fylde Coast Football.
Four games in ππΆππΆππΆπΌπ» π§ππΌ produced two draws as it was 3-3 between Cottam Town and Park Utd at Woodacre Hall, while SRDC (Blues) were held 1-1 by Bamber Bridge Town. Midgery Court turned around a half-time deficit to win 5-4 at Gregson Lane Wanderers thanks to four goals from William Thom. FC Bartle defeated Greenlands 2-1 at Mill Lane.
Two fixtures took place in ππΆππΆππΆπΌπ» π§π΅πΏπ²π², resulting in two away wins. St. Annes (Rangers) closed the gap on league leaders Gregson Lane with victory at Sporting Preston and St Anthony’s overcame Tartleton Corinthians 4-3.
Penwortham St Teresa’s (Whites) continued their run at the top of ππΆππΆππΆπΌπ» ππΌππΏ with a win at Frechwood Park over AFC Bamber, Adlington are second and won 2-0 away to Ribbleton Athletic. Third place Atletico Clifton won big at home against FC Friargate with Adam Zyda scoring a hat-trick. Athletico Preston won 2-1 against Penwortham St Teresa’s (Blues), while AFC Sherwood earned a 2-2 draw against Whittle.
